If you see an error "Invalid value provided" in the payee's name, it usually appears because the payee name you've entered contains characters that are not supported.
The only 3 special characters that can be used in a payee name are:
- & (ampersand)
- / (forward slash)
- . (full stop/period)
Only letters, numbers, spaces, and the 3 special characters listed above are accepted in payee's name.
The following characters are not allowed, including but not limited to:
- , (comma)
- ' (apostrophe)
- " (quotation marks)
- - (hyphen)
- ( ) (brackets)
- : (colon)
- ; (semicolon)
- ! (exclamation mark)
- ? (question mark)
- @ (at sign)
- # (hash)
- % (percent sign)
- + (plus sign)
- Any other special characters not listed as supported.
If you receive this error, remove any unsupported characters from the payee name and try adding the payee again
