After every five contactless payments, you’ll need to enter your PIN again to continue using your card. Once you’ve done that, your contactless payments should work as normal. There is no need to use your PIN if you’re using Google Pay.
Please also remember that each contactless payment has a maximum limit of £100.
This limit does not apply to transactions made with Google Pay. However, you may occasionally be asked to verify your identity (for example, by unlocking your phone), particularly for higher-value transactions.
If your contactless payment isn’t working, we suggest trying a different merchant.
