If you’ve noticed a fee for a transfer from your Suits Me account and were expecting it to be free, we’d like to help clarify how our transfer fees work, particularly the difference between sending and receiving money.
Sending vs. receiving transfers
Receiving money into your Suits Me account via bank transfer is completely free on all account types.
However, sending money from your Suits Me account to another UK bank account using Faster Payments does incur a small fee. These fees are standard, based on your account type:
- Essential: 2.5% of the amount (Capped at £4)
- Premium: 1.75% of the amount (Capped at £4)
- Premium Plus: 1% of the amount (Capped at £4)
This fee applies each time you make a Faster Payment to another UK account. Standing Orders are capped at £2.
Why am I charged this fee?
While some customers may assume all transfers are free, we want to be transparent in saying that Suits Me has never advertised free outgoing transfers. These fees have always been outlined in our account terms and pricing structure, which are available at any time for review. For more information about why we charge, please click here.
